RESUME & SKILLS

My educational journey and professional experiences are not just a part of my resume, they are a part of my success, my personality, my hopes, and my goals. As a first-generation college student, I am proud to present my professional experiences and skills below.

Education

August 2012 - May 2014

Associate of Arts, Spanish Emphasis

Grand Rapids Community College

Grand Rapids Community College gave me the perfect introduction to independent learning. The love that I have for higher education can easily be accredited to the relationships I forged there, and the confidence that I unearthed.

August 2016 - May 2018

Spanish & Latin American Studies

Minor in Business Administration

Fort Lewis College

I moved to Durango, Colorado to continue my education after taking a short break. My curiosity and appreciation for history, language, culture and business grew with each semester. I benefited greatly from the small class sizes, and made a point to put my coursework first. As a result, I graduated with a 3.9 cumulative GPA.

January 2021 - May 2022

M.A. Educational Leadership, Higher Education/Community College Emphasis

Northern Arizona University

Attending and graduating from graduate school has been the greatest accomplishment in my life thus far. My master's degree in Educational Leadership has inspired me to pursue my most coveted dreams and goals. Through my degree, I focused specifically on topics surrounding curriculum construction and community colleges.

Professional History

2016-2019

Content Creator

360Durango

As a Content Creator, I actively built and maintained websites, listing pages, social media accounts, and photo organization for local businesses in the Southwest Colorado area. My independence and design skills grew rapidly at this start-up company, where I advanced my technical skills.

2018-2019

Transfer Admissions Counselor

Fort Lewis College

I served as the very first Transfer Admissions Counselor within the Office of Admissions, and had frequent conversations with directors and leaders about transfer initiatives. I took an active role in researching, learning, and sharing complex ideas surrounding higher education and recruitment.

2019-2021

Coordinator for Undergraduate Recruitment Events

University of Arizona

After moving to Tucson, I began my journey within the Office of Admissions, where I planned, managed, and executed large scale events, workshops, information sessions, and professional development for student employees. I also created and managed creative deliverables and hosted social media takeovers. Project and task management were skills that I perfected while working on the Events Team.

2021-present

Undergraduate Recruitment Coordinator - College of Architecture, Planning & Landscape Architecture

University of Arizona

This role has allowed me to be a leader for best practices, strategies, and assessment campaigns for recruitment and advising. Additionally, I created holistic review processes from the ground up to ensure ethical recruitment and retention for incoming students. As a recruiter at the University of Arizona, I have made valuable relationships with campus partners, student employees, ambassadors, faculty and staff.
